Tuscany Herb Infused Oil Recipe

There are a multitude of combinations for oil infused recipes full of herbs and spices for every taste and desire which is a key benefit to creating your own homemade cooking oil for your sprayer or oil pourer. One of my personal favorites is my Tuscany blend. It pairs great with pastas, potatoes, salads, hummus, and makes a great dipping bread sauce.

  • Add all the ingredients together in the oil sprayer or pourer. Make sure the fresh herbs are rinsed and patted dry. With the one clove of garlic, make sure all skin layers are off and cut in half for best results. If you have a small sprayer or pourer please use the table conversion. If you have a sprayer with a small stem hose or nozzle then add in the water to help dilute the oil mixture for easier use.
  • Let the infused oil sit in a dark cool place for 12-24 hours soaking in all the flavors of the herbs and spices to marinate. Remove the garlic cloves from the mixture at either the 12 or 24 hour marker depending on your love for garlic. Do not leave it indefinitely as it will take over the whole creation and cause it to go bad quicker.
  • There you have it, a Tuscan infused cooking oil prefect for a sprayer or pourer. Shake well before use. Always store in a cool dark place for a longer shelf life and enjoy!

Notes

If you want to use this for a bread dipping sauce then grab out a saucer plate. Add a few twits of a mixed peppercorn grinded, 1 Tbs of Parmesan or Asiago cheese grated, and a tbs of ground onion and garlic (you can substitute a mixed spice blend which works fine), then pour over the oil blend. BAM! You just turned your infused cooking oil into an appetizer that everyone will be talking about!

  1. I have purchased infused oil many times over the years. I love the taste of the oil on salads and even on some meats. But I never made my own. Thanks for this recipe. I am going to try it out. I had no idea it was so easy to make. Do you have other infused oil recipes? I would love to try out a few different ones.

  2. What a wonderful infusion and using some of my very favourite herbs as well

    I would definitely use this as a dipping oil and possible add a wee bit more really awesome olive oil to the mix
